The beautiful naked bodies of the magnificent Seschol were a sight to behold, and setting foot on a new and inhabited planet, the planet of our ancestors, was exhilarating. At times I seemed to have memories I could not possibly have had, and in my heart, I knew that I was as much Seschol as human. Knowing that catastrophe had hit their beautiful green planet was heartbreaking, and we could feel their pain. It was visible in their eyes, and we were determined to help them.
Excerpt
Kevin and I were standing in a very comfortable lounge area stark naked in front of three Seschol. One, who I assumed to be Eo'hala, noticed our embarrassment.
“My apologies. We didn't mean to embarrass you. We will disrobe. I'm impressed with your knowledge of us, but what is Phobos? Is that a place your people have settled on Oolia?”
“No, Phobos is one of Oolia's small moons.”
The Seschol were crestfallen. “Oolia, as we knew it, had no moons. It would appear that catastrophe did hit our beautiful green planet.”
We could feel their pain, visible in their eyes. Without thinking, I spontaneously gave Eo'hala a hug. He was surprised, but hugged me back. “I'm sorry, Eo'hala. I didn't mean to take liberties, but you looked like someone in need of a hug.”
“You needn't apologize, Kyle. Affection is important in our culture, but then, I guess you knew that. Would you like to meet some of our people? I know they'd like to meet you.”
“We would indeed. Where should we go?”
I was thinking about their beautiful naked bodies as we walked. The truth was that neither of us was sleepy. When we got down to our section, which was largely unoccupied, I asked them if they would like to stay on the base or go back to their ship.
“We'd like to stay here, if it isn't too much trouble. We only need one room.”
“No trouble at all. We have a two room suite, but only use half of it. You are most welcome to stay with us. Here we are. Please come in.”
I showed them in, pointing out the fully equipped bathroom complete with a large Jacuzzi.
“Ahh, a therapy pool. How inviting. Would you like to join us?”

I like the sci-fi aspects and universe building. My problems with the story seems to be 1) Everything falls so easily into place. Very little "bad" happens and is almost like it was thrown in there to have that bad. 2) Time passes so fast it's like the story isn't a story but almost like a step-by-step manual. This then this then this. (another reviewer found the same thing) 3) Some of the plot seems to have been added to make the characters more normal.Product details

SCIENCE FICTION ALIEN LIFE Phobos Nocturne edition by Kiel Bei Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Let me preface my review by saying that I am NOT a fan of science fiction novels. I was attracted mostly by the wonderful cover of this book, I must shamefully (shamelessly?) confess. I am impressed with the writer's ability to develop an intriguing story . I was not prepared for a lot of intricate details about technology and scientific advances which, regrettably, I don't understand. It is something I should have expected from a novel of this genre, but as I said before, I do not normally read these types of stories.
I found the "appendix" helpful to sort out the character names and their roles in the story, and also to clarify some of the complicated terms used. Unfortunately I discovered it almost halfway into the reading the story. Perhaps these descriptions could have been woven a bit better or more clearly into the narrator's words. For this I am knocking off one star. I disagree with a previous reviewer about the writing quality. The writer is very adept at developing the story and keeping the interest going in the characters and their fates. I look forward to reading more books from him.
A great story, fun characters and lots of great technology, all mixed with aliens. Go ahead, you'll like it.
I did not quite know what to expect, as I have never really read anything in this genre, but this book was amazingly well written! I fell in love with the characters in the book. The story line was intriguing, and always left me wanting more. The one complaint I have about the book is that it ended far to soon, I could have read a whole series!
This adventure involves aliens, space ships and galaxy wars for the two heroes, their comrades in arms and one of them's feisty nephew. Several unexpected, clever twists and some wonderful technology of the future.
The book has plenty of detail and it is obvious the author knows a lot about science, particularly as it applies to outer space.
This book wasn't bad. The story was a neat and new idea but it felt like I was listening to a constant list of this then this then this. I never felt even for a moment that I could connect with any of the characters nor feel the awe that should come with some of the technology and ideas held within the story. All good ideas but very poorly written. Perhaps if the story took place over several books we could have seen a lot more detail taken to each event and the listing would not have occurred. I found this book difficult to get through and very boring.
